IEC/TC 1 - Terminology

IEC/TC 1 is a Technical Committee within CLC. It is named "Terminology" and is responsible for: To sanction the terms and definitions used in the different electrotechnical fields and to determine the equivalence of the terms used in the different languages. As a consequence, to prepare an International Electrotechnical Vocabulary aiming at the standardization and coordination of the terms relating to electrical sciences and techniques for use in the technical language and literature, in teaching, in technical specifications and in commercial exchanges, and at giving their equivalents in the different languages This committee has published 6 standards.

IEC/TC 1 develops CLC standards in the area of U99 - UNDETERMINED - Information technology.
