IEC TS 62749:2026 specifies the expected characteristics of electricity at the point of supply of public low, medium and high voltage, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, networks, as well as power quality assessment methods. This document does not apply for systems operated above 230 kV.
The boundaries between the various voltage levels can be different for different countries or regions. In the context of this document, the following terms for system voltage are used:
- low voltage (LV) refers to UN ≤ 1 kV;
- medium voltage (MV) refers to 1 kV  - high voltage (HV) refers to 35 kV  Because of existing network structures, in some countries or regions, the boundary between medium and high voltage can be different. While power quality is related to EMC in a number of ways, especially because compliance with power quality requirements depends on the control of cumulative effect of electromagnetic emission from all or multiple equipment and installations, this document is not an EMC publication (see also Annex E).

IEC 60216-1:2025 specifies the general ageing conditions and procedures to be used for deriving thermal endurance characteristics and gives guidance in using the detailed instructions and guidelines in the other parts of IEC 60216. Although originally developed for use with electrical insulating materials and simple combinations of such materials, the procedures are considered to be of more general applicability and are widely used in the assessment of materials not intended for use as electrical insulation. In the application of this document, it is assumed that a practically linear relationship exists between the logarithm of the time required to cause the predetermined property change and the reciprocal of the corresponding absolute temperature (Arrhenius relationship). For the valid application of this document, no transition, in particular no first-order transition, is expected to occur in the temperature range under study.
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) the definition for temperature index (TI) has been updated;
b) requirements for selection of related materials used, e.g. in different colours (5.1.2), have been added;
c) test procedure for thickness sensitivity (5.5 et 6.6) has been added;

IEC 63616:2025 relates to a conductivity measurement method of thin metal films at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies. This method has been developed to evaluate the conductivity of a metal foil used for adhering to a substrate or the interfacial conductivity of a metal layer formed on a dielectric substrate. It uses higher-order modes of a balanced-type circular disk resonator and provides broadband conductivity measurements by using a single resonator.
In comparison with the conventional method described in IEC 61788-7 [1]1, this method has the following characteristics:
– the value of the conductivity σ of a metal foil can be measured accurately and non-destructively;
– the value of the interfacial conductivity σ of a metal layer on a dielectric substrate can be measured accurately and non-destructively;
– this method presents broadband measurements by using higher-order modes by one resonator;
– this method is applicable for the measurements under the following conditions:
• frequency: 10 GHz ≤ f ≤ 170 GHz;
• conductivity: 105 S/m ≤σ ≤ 108 S/m.

This document provides general methods for measurement and calculation of quantities associated with human exposure to electromagnetic fields in the frequency range from 0 Hz to 300 GHz. It is intended specifically to be used for the assessment of emissions from products and comparison of these with the exposure limits for the general public given in Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC, and those given for workers in Directive 2013/35/EU, as appropriate. It also is intended to be used for assessment of human exposure to electromagnetic fields in the workplace to determine compliance with the requirements of Directive 2013/35/EU.
This standard deals with quantities that can be measured or calculated external to the body, notably electric and magnetic field strength or power density, and includes the measurement and calculation of quantities inside the body that form the basis for protection guidelines. In particular the standard provides information on:
- definitions and terminology,
- characteristics of electromagnetic fields,
- measurement of exposure quantities,
- instrumentation requirements,
- methods of calibration,
- measurement techniques and procedures for evaluating exposure,
- calculation methods for exposure assessment.
Where an applicable electromagnetic field standard specific to a product or technology exists it is expected to be used rather than this document. EN 62311:-, Table 1 gives a list of relevant standards.

IEC/IEEE 62704-2:2017 establishes the concepts, techniques, validation procedures, uncertainties and limitations of the finite difference time domain technique (FDTD) when used for determining the peak spatial-average and whole-body average specific absorption rate (SAR) in a standardized human anatomical model exposed to the electromagnetic field emitted by vehicle mounted antennas in the frequency range from 30 MHz to 1 GHz, which covers typical high power mobile radio products and applications. This document specifies and provides the test vehicle, human body models and the general benchmark data for those models. It defines antenna locations, operating configurations, exposure conditions, and positions that are typical of persons exposed to the fields generated by vehicle mounted antennas. The extended frequency range up to 6 GHz will be considered in future revisions of this document. This document does not recommend specific peak spatial-average and whole-body average SAR limits since these are found in other documents, e.g. IEEE C95.1-2005, ICNIRP (1998).
Key words: Electromagnetic Field, Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD), Spatial-Average Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), vehicle mounted antennas
