This European Standard applies to all ceramic tile grouts for internal and external tile installations on walls and floors. This standard gives the terminology concerning the products, working methods, application properties, etc... for ceramic tile grouts. This European Standard specifies the values of performance requirements for all ceramic tile grouts (cementitious and reaction resin grouts).

Fugenmörtel für Fliesen und Platten - Definitionen und Festlegungen

Die vorliegende Europäische Norm gilt für Fugenmörtel für keramische Fliesen und Platten an Wand und Boden für innen und außen.
In dieser Norm wird die Terminologie für Produkte, Arbeitsverfahren, Verarbeitungseigenschaften usw. für Fugenmörtel für keramische Fliesen und Platten angegeben.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an zementhaltige Fugenmörtel und Reaktionsharz-Fugenmörtel für keramische Fliesen und Platten fest.
In dieser Europäischen Norm werden keine Kriterien oder Empfehlungen für die Planung und Verlegung von keramischen Fliesen und Platten angegeben.
ANMERKUNG   Fugenmörtel für keramische Fliesen und Platten dürfen auch für Fliesen und Platten aus anderen Materialien (z. B. Natur- und Betonwerkstein usw.) verwendet werden, sofern sie auf diese Materialien keine negativen Einflüsse ausüben.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique à tous les mortiers de jointoiement pour carreaux et dalles céramiques destinés à la pose de carrelages intérieurs et extérieurs sur des murs et des sols.
La présente norme donne la terminologie applicable aux produits, aux méthodes de travail, aux propriétés d'application, etc. pour les mortiers de jointoiement.
La présente Norme européenne spécifie les valeurs en matière d'exigences relatives aux performances pour tous les mortiers de jointoiement pour carreaux et dalles céramiques (mortiers de jointoiement à base de ciment ou de résine de réaction).
La présente Norme européenne ne contient pas de spécifications ou de recommandations pour la conception et l'installation de revêtements céramiques.
NOTE   Les mortiers de jointoiement pour carreaux et dalles céramiques peuvent également être utilisés pour d'autres types de carrelages (pierres de taille et agglomérées, etc.), s'ils sont compatibles avec ces matériaux.

Gypsum plasterboard products from processing - Definitions, requirements and test methods

This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance of products which have been produced by reprocessing gypsum boards manufactured according to EN 520, EN 15283 1 and EN 15283 2. Reprocessing may include cutting, perforating, edge profiling, decorating and laminating membranes of other materials for functional or decorative purposes, attaching fixings including supports e.g. for partitions. Examples of reprocessing operations are given in Annex B.
The products are intended for use in wall, ceiling and floor applications, where they may be fixed directly to the background, or they are used in systems assembled in conjunction with the structure to form separate or suspended linings. The products can be customized to fit the intended application offering a wide range of aesthetic, functional and decorative solutions of modular or non-modular design.
This European Standard does not cover gypsum board thermal/acoustic insulation composite panels according to EN 13950 and prefabricated gypsum board panels with a cellular paperboard core according to EN 13915.

This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance of gypsum blocks with smooth faces for which the main intended uses are construction of non-load bearing partitions or independent wall linings and the fire protection of columns, lift shafts, shafts for services, etc. Gypsum blocks are not used to build ceilings.
It covers the following performance characteristics related to the essential requirements:
-   reaction to fire;
-   resistance to fire;
-   direct airborne sound insulation;
-   release of dangerous substances;
to be measured according to the corresponding European test methods, as well as:
-   thermal resistance
to be calculated from the thermal conductivity values given in 4.3.2.
It describes the reference tests for technical specifications.
This European Standard covers also additional technical characteristics that are of importance for the use and acceptance of the product by the construction industry:
-   convenience classes for density;
-   convenience classes for pH.
It provides for the evaluation of conformity of the product to this European Standard.
This European Standard does not cover gypsum blocks of thickness less than 50 mm or gypsum storey height units.

This European Standard specifies the characteristics and performance of powder products based on gypsum binder for building purposes. This includes premixed gypsum building plasters for plastering of walls and ceilings inside buildings where they are applied as a finishing material which can be decorated. These products are specially formulated to meet their application requirements by the use of additives/admixtures, aggregates and other binders. Gypsum and gypsum based building plasters for manual and mechanical applications are included.
This European Standard also applies to gypsum binders both for direct use on site and for further processing into gypsum blocks, gypsum plasterboards, gypsum boards with fibrous reinforcement, gypsum fibrous plasterwork and gypsum ceiling elements. Gypsum mortar for internal not load bearing partitions not exposed to water is also included.
Calcium sulfate used as binder for floor screeds is not covered by this European Standard.
This European Standard defines the reference tests for technical characteristics and provides for the evaluation of conformity of the products covered by this European Standard.
Building lime, as calcium hydroxide, can be used as an additional binder together with gypsum binder. If gypsum binder is the principle active binding component in a plaster then this plaster is covered by this European Standard. If building lime is the principle active binding component in a plaster then the plaster is covered by EN 998-1.
