Steel wire ropes - Safety - Part 4: Stranded ropes for general lifting applications

This part of this European Standard specifies the additional materials, manufacturing and testing requirements for stranded ropes for general lifting applications to those given in part 1.
This Part of this European Standard does not establish requirements for information for use other than those given in clause 7 of part 1. Neither does it cover the requirements for ropes fitted with terminations.
Minimum breaking force values for the more common classes, sizes and grades of rope are provided in
Tables 4 to 16.

Die besonderen Gefährdungen, die in diesem Teil behandelt werden, sind in Abschnitt 4 angegeben.
Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm legt über die Anforderungen in Teil 1, Abschnitt 7, hinausgehend keine weiteren Anforderungen an Anwendungshinweise fest. Er enthält auch keine Anforderungen an Seile mit Endverbindungen.
Mindestbruchkräfte für die gebräuchlicheren Seilklassen, Durchmesser und Seilfestigkeitsklassen sind in den Tabellen 5 bis 17 angegeben.

La présente partie de cette Norme européenne spécifie les matériaux particuliers, les prescriptions pour la fabrication et les essais des câbles toronnés pour les applications générales de levage.
Les phénomènes dangereux particuliers couverts par la présente partie sont identifiés à l'article 4.
La présente partie de cette Norme européenne ne donne pas de prescriptions relatives à l'information pour l'utilisation autres que celles données à l'article 7 de la partie 1. Elle ne couvre pas non plus les prescriptions pour les câbles munis de terminaisons.
Les valeurs de charges de rupture minimales pour les classes, les dimensions et les catégories de câble les plus courantes sont fournies dans les Tableaux 5 à 17.

another single layer or parallel-closed or rotation-resistant rope construction as specified by themanufacturer and covered by the respective classes in EN 12385-2.5.3.3 Rope gradeFor rope sizes up to and including 60 mm diameter, the rope grade shall be 1770, 1960 or 2160 or an intermediategrade as specified by the manufacturer, but not exceeding 2160.NOTERopes larger than 60mm diameter may not have a rope grade.5.4 Diameter5.4.1 TolerancesWhen measured in accordance with 6.3.1 of EN 12385-1:2002, the measured diameter shall not vary from thenominal diameter by more than the values given in Table 3. For ropes with diameters from 2 mm to 5 mm inclusive,the tolerance shall be rounded up to the nearest 0,05 mm.
