EN 2591-222:2007 is a CEN/Aerospace series test method that defines a vectorial measurement method for insertion loss (I.L.) of coaxial contacts and connectors with a specified characteristic impedance. - Insertion loss of one contact/connector = pair loss ÷ 2.
- Items to specify in a test report: part numbers, VNA model/serial, frequency range, sample point count, measurement impedance (50 Ω or 75 Ω), adapters, wiring/tooling, coupling torque for threaded connectors, and connection length for coax contacts.
