Automatic battery-powered cleaners are operated with a clean dust bag or filter on the
carpet defined in IEC 60312. A frame of 1,5 m by 1,5 m is used on the carpet to limit the area
of action. The air inlet is unobstructed.

perimeter, within a pre-programmed area or in an area self-controlled by the appliance
The cleaner consists of the mobile part and may have a docking station.

• data processing facility, and
• suction for the mobile part
NOTE A docking station is also known as a base unit.
5 General conditions for the tests

6 Classification
6.1 Add the following:
Vacuum cleaners may be class 0 provided that their rated voltage does not exceed 150 V.
Stationary parts of automatic battery-powered cleaners may be class 0 if the rated voltage
does not exceed 150 V.

Replace “5935 of IEC 60417” by “IEC 60417-5935”.
7.12 Addition:

en fonctionnement à 0,94 fois ou 1,06 fois la tension assignée, suivant la tension la plus
défavorable.
Si un dispositif d’aspiration est compris dans les stations d’accueil des aspirateurs
automatiques alimentés par batteries, les conditions d’essai de 3.1.9 s’appliquent.
19 Fonctionnement anormal
19.9 Remplacement:
Les stations d'accueil des aspirateurs automatiques alimentés par batteries comportant
un dispositif d'aspiration sont soumises à l'essai sous la tension assignée avec l'entrée d'air
complètement bloquée jusqu'à obtention des conditions de régime.
Les températures des enroulements ne doivent pas dépasser les valeurs spécifiées au
Tableau 8.
22 Construction
22.40 Supprimer l'addition.
Ajouter le nouveau paragraphe suivant:
22.101 Les têtes de nettoyage motorisées destinées à être utilisées avec des appareils
comportant un mode de nettoyage à aspiration d'eau, à l'exception des parties de la
classe III ayant une tension de service jusqu'à 24 V, doivent être des têtes de nettoyage
motorisées pour appareils de nettoyage à aspiration d'eau.
La vérification est effectuée par examen des marquages et en soumettant les têtes de
nettoyage motorisées aux essais des appareils de nettoyage à aspiration d'eau.

Docking stations of automatic battery-powered cleaners are operated at 0,94 or 1,06
times rated voltage, whichever is the most unfavourable.
If a suction mode is incorporated in docking stations of automatic battery-powered
cleaners, the test conditions of 3.1.9 are applied.
