IEC 60063:2015 provides series of preferred values for the resistance of resistors and for the capacitance of capacitors. The definition of such series with a defined numeric resolution is a basic prerequisite for the marking and coding of capacitors and resistors with their respective capacitance or resistance values as described in IEC 60062. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition: - revision of the information on a relationship between an E Series and the tolerance of a resistance or capacitance value of a respective component; - introduction of advice on a possible deduction from the marking of a component to an associated E Series and also to an associated tolerance; - complete editorial revision.

IEC 60717:2012 applies to capacitors and resistors with unidirectional wire terminations intended for use in electronic equipment. This standard provides a method for determination of the space required by capacitors and resistors with unidirectional wire terminations. NOTE: Instead of measuring the actual space, it may be sufficient to ensure that a component fits into the maximum space for which it is designed. This may be achieved by means of fixed gauges. The main technical changes with respect to the first edition are the following: - employment of the millimetre-based grid, the preferred grid system given in IEC 60097, - employment of SI units only, causing deletion of the imperial dimensions from Table 1, - reduction of the tolerance on the chamfer depth in Figure 1, and - introduction of requirements on information to be given in a relevant specification.

IEC 60915:2006 contains preferred dimensions for shaft ends and bushes and for the mounting of single-hole, bush-mounted, shaft-operated variable capacitors, variable resistors and potentiometers. If other dimensions not listed in this standard have to be used, it is recommended to select them also from IEC 60390 and IEC 60620. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1987 and constitutes a minor revision, related to tables, figures and references. This bilingual version, published in 2008-07, corresponds to the English version. The contents of the corrigendum of December 2008 have been included in this copy.

IEC 60301:2012 gives a series of preferred diameters of the finished wire terminations of capacitors and resistors for use in electronic equipment. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition, published in 1971, and its Amendment 1, published in 1972, and constitutes a technical revision. The main technical changes with respect to the second edition are the following: - employment of SI units only in the normative part of this standard, causing transfer of all imperial dimensions from Table 1 to the informative Annex A, - addition of two smaller diameters of wire terminations in Table 1, and - tightening of the tolerance ranges defined by minimum and maximum diameters in Table 1.

This part of IEC 62885 is applicable for measurements of the performance of mains-operated and cordless wet hard floor cleaning appliances for household or similar use. In the case of appliances with combined functionality, this document only addresses the wet cleaning functionality. The purpose of this document is to specify essential performance characteristics of wet hard floor cleaning appliances that are of interest to users and to describe methods for measuring these characteristics. NOTE 1 Owing to the influence of environmental conditions, variations in time, origin of test materials and proficiency of the operator, most of the described test methods give more reliable results when applied to comparative testing of a number of appliances at the same time, in the same laboratory and by the same operator. NOTE 2 This document is not intended for cleaning appliances according to IEC 60335-2-79 and robotic wet hard floor cleaning appliances. For safety requirements, reference is made to IEC 60335-1, IEC 60335-2-2, IEC 60335-2-10, and IEC 60335-2-54. A recommendation on information for the consumer at the point of sale is given in Annex B.

IEC 61643-01: 2024 contains the common requirements for all SPDs. This document is applicable to devices for surge protection against indirect and direct effects of lightning or other transient overvoltages, hereafter referred to as Surge Protective Devices (SPDs). SPDs are intended to be connected to circuits or equipment rated up to 1 000 V AC (RMS) or 1 500 V DC. Performance and safety requirements, tests and ratings are specified in this document. SPDs contain at least one nonlinear component and are intended to limit surge voltages and divert surge currents. This document, together with IEC 61643-11:— (second edition), cancels and replaces the first edition of IEC 61643-11 published in 2011. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the first edition of IEC 61643-11: a) Clarification on test application either to a complete SPD, to a "mode of protection", or to a complete "SPD assembly"; b) Additional measurement of voltage protection level on "combined modes of protection" between live conductors and PE (see new Annex F); c) Additional duty test for T1 SPD and T2 SPD with follow current to check for increased follow current at lower impulse current amplitude (see 9.3.5.5); d) Modified and amended short circuit current test requirements to better cover up-to-date internal SPD disconnector technologies (see 9.3.6.3); e) Improved dielectric test requirements for the SPD’s main circuits and added dielectric test requirements for "electrically separated circuits" (see 9.3.7 and 9.3.8); f) Additional clearance requirements for "electrically separated circuits" (see 9.4.4); g) Additional information and details for SPDs for DC installations.
