Ta tehnična specifikacija vzpostavlja zahteve za kratkosežno komunikacijo za namene povečevanja gostote lokalizacije v avtonomnih sistemih za elektronsko pobiranje cestnin (EFC). Lokalizacija povečane gostote služi za obveščanje OBE o zemljepisni lokaciji in identifikaciji objekta dajatve. Ta tehnična specifikacija določa zagotavljanje informacij o lokaciji in smeri ter zagotavljanje varnostnih sredstev za zaščito OBE pred manipulacijo z lažno opremo ob strani cest (RSE). Lokalizacija povečane gostote komunikacije poteka med OBE v vozilu in fiksirano opremo ob strani ceste. Ta tehnična specifikacija velja za OBE v avtonomnem načinu delovanja. Ta tehnična specifikacija določa lastnosti in funkcije za namen lokalizirane povečane gostote, z izkoriščanjem DSRC komunikacijskih storitev, omogočenih z DSRC plastjo 7 in zagotavlja, da so te LAC lastnosti in funkcije na voljo LAC aplikacijam za RSE in OBE.
