This European Standard specifies a gas chromatographic method for the quantitative determination of individual organic oxygenate compounds in the range 0,17 % (m/m) to 15 % (m/m) and total oxygen up to 3,7 % (m/m) in unleaded petrol having a final boiling point not greater than 220 oC. This European Standard is applicable to the determination of oxygen containing compounds and total oxygen in unleaded petrol in line with the relevant EU Directive 1). 1) EU Directive 85/536/EEC, Council Directive on crude-oil savings through the use of substitute fuel components in petrol.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein gaschromatographisches Analysenverfahren fest zur quantitativen Bestimmung sauerstoffhaltiger organischer Verbindungen im Bereich 0,17% Massenanteil bis 15% Massenanteil und des Gesamtgehaltes an organisch gebundenem Sauerstoff bis 3% Massenanteil in Ottokraftstoffen mit einem Siedeende nicht über 220°C. Diese Europäische Norm ist anwendbar zur Bestimmung sauerstoffhaltiger organischer Verbindungen und des Gesamtgehaltes anorganisch gebundenem Sauerstoff in Ottokraftstoffen in Übereinstimmung mit der entsprechenden EG-Richtlinie.

Cette norme européenne est applicable à la détermination des composés contenant de l'oxygène et à celle de l'oxygène total dans l'essence conformément à la directive UE correspondante.
