IEC 62220-1-3:2008 specifies the method for the determination of the detective quantum efficiency (DQE) of digital X-ray imaging devices as a function of air kerma and of spatial frequency for the working conditions in the range of the medical application as specified by the manufacturer. The intended users of this part of IEC 62220 are manufacturers and well equipped test laboratories. This Part 1-3 is restricted to digital X-ray imaging devices that are used for dynamic imaging such as, but not exclusively, direct and indirect flat panel-detector based systems. It is not recommended to use this part of IEC 62220 for digital X-ray image intensifier-based systems.

Specifies the method for the determination of the detective quantum efficiency (DQE) of digital X-ray imaging devices as a function of air kerma and of spatial frequency for the working conditions in the range of the medical application as specified by the manufacturer. The intended users of this part of IEC 62220 are manufacturers and well equipped test laboratories. This Part 1-2 is restricted to digital X-ray imaging devices that are used for mammographic imaging such as but not exclusively, CR systems, direct and indirect flat panel detector based systems, scanning systems (CCD based or photon-counting). This part of IEC 62220 is not applicable to - digital X-ray imaging devices intended to be used in general radiography or in dental radiography; - computed tomography; and - devices for dynamic imaging (where series of images are acquired, as in fluoroscopic or cardiac imaging).

Specifies the method for the determination of the detective quantum efficiency (DQE) of digital X-ray imaging devices as a function of exposure and of spatial frequency for the working conditions in the range of the medical application as specified by the manufacturer. Is applicable to projection digital X-ray imaging devices producing images in digital format that are used for medical diagnosis. It is restricted to digital X-ray imaging devices that are used for radiographic imaging, such as CR systems, selenium-based systems, flat panel detectors, optically coupled CCD detectors, and digital X-ray image intensifiers used for single exposures.

Frequently Asked Questions

WG 33 is a Technical Committee within the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It is named "TC 62/SC 62B/WG 33". This committee has published 27 standards.

WG 33 develops IEC standards in the area of Information technology. Currently, there are 27 published standards from this technical committee.

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world's leading organization for the preparation and publication of international standards for electrical, electronic, and related technologies. Founded in 1906, the IEC provides a global platform for companies, industries, and governments to meet, discuss, and develop the international standards they require.

A Technical Committee (TC) in IEC is a group of experts responsible for developing international standards in a specific technical area. TCs are composed of national member body delegates and work through consensus to create standards that meet global industry needs. Each TC may have subcommittees (SCs) and working groups (WGs) for specialized topics.
