IEC/TC 48 - Electromechanical components and mechanical structures for electronic equipment
Standardization of electric connectors, connecting devices and mechanical structures for electronic and electrical equiment. NOTE 1: RF connectors will not be dealt with by the technical committee as they will be covered by TC 46 together with RF cables. However, hybrid connectors which are predominantly LF, but which employ RF contracts, will be dealt with by TC 48. They will use the appropriate test methods, terminology etc. defined by TC 46 and TC 86 documents. NOTE 2: Sockets for components shall be considered in co-operation with the relevant technical committee. NOTE 3: Safety requirements for areas already dealt with by other committees will not be developed by this technical committee
