Roller sports equipment - Inline-skates - Safety requirements and test methods
This standard applies to inline-skates intended for users with a body mass of more than 20 kg. It specifies general and safety requirements for inline-skates to reduce the risk of injuries to both third parties and the user during their normal use. Inline-skates for use by a rider of less than 20 kg do not belong to the scope of this EN. They are covered by EN 71-1. This EN does not apply to roller skates.

Diese Norm gilt für Inline-Skates für Benutzer mit einem Körpergewicht von mehr als 20 kg. Sie legt die sicherheitstechnischen Mindest-Anforderungen an Inline-Skates fest, Festlegungen für Prüfverfahren, Kennzeichnung und Benutzerinformation, die bei bestimmungsgemäßer Anwendung die Verletzungsgefahr für Dritte und die Benutzer verringern sollen. Inline-Skates für einen Läufer von weniger als 20 kg gehören nicht zum Anwendungsbereich dieser EN. Sie werden durch EN 71-1 erfaßt. Diese EN gilt nicht für Rollschuhe.

La présente norme s'applique aux patins à roues en ligne destinés aux utilisateurs dont le poids est supérieur à 20 kg et inférieur à 100 kg.
Elle spécifie les exigences de sécurité minimales relatives aux patins à roues en ligne, les spécifications relatives aux méthodes d'essai, le marquage et les informations fournies par le fabricant afin de réduire le risque de blessures pouvant toucher les tiers ou l'utilisateur en cours d'utilisation normale.
Les patins à roues en ligne destinés à être utilisés par un utilisateur dont le poids est inférieur à 20 kg n'entrent pas dans le domaine d'application de la présente Norme européenne. Ils sont des jouets.
La présente Norme européenne ne s'applique pas aux patins à roulettes selon EN 13899.
