This European Standard lays down the markings for tank wagons used for the carriage of : - liquefied gases of class 2 of RID, - substances of classes 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8 and 9 of RID carried in the liquid state. Compressed gases have not been considered in this European Standard. This European Standard defines also the dimensions and the fixing of identification plates and various particulars to be marked on them.

Cette norme européenne précise les marquages à apposer sur les wagons-citernes destinés au transport des : - gaz liquéfiés de la classe 2 du RID, - matières des classes 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8 et 9 du RID transportées à l'état liquide. Les gaz comprimés n'ont pas été pris en considération dans cette norme européenne. Cette norme européenne définit également les dimensions et le mode de fixation des plaques d'identité ainsi que les diverses mentions à y marquer.
