Standard Guide for Specifying Factory Applied Wood Coatings (Withdrawn 2008)

SCOPE
1.1 This practice summarizes the test methods that may be used to assist in quality control during application and in specifying pigmented coatings that shall be used in factory finishing of wood products.
1.2 This practice is not intended for use by the consumer of coated wood products in specifying such coated wood products.
1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
WITHDRAWN RATIONALE
Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications, this guide was withdrawn in January 2008 in accordance with section 10.5.3.1 of the Regulations Governing ASTM Technical Committees, which requires that standards shall be updated by the end of the eighth year since the last approval date.

Standard Guide for
Specifying Factory Applied Wood Coatings
This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 2336; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year of
original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. A
superscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.
